Principal

              Hind Seva Mandal is pioneering  establishment in Maharashtra, which has a glorious past of a century. The Mandal boasts of a rich heritage and a glorious record of selfless service to society. It was founded by visionary social reformers to conceptualize their heartfelt concern and commitment towards the weaker sections, so long deprived of the benefits of formal education. One of the prime objectives of the institution is to take the lamp of education to the doorstep of the poorest of the poor, for the overall development of society. 

             Pemraj Sarda College is one of the premiere educational institutions in Ahmednagar distct,accredited by the NAAC with A Grade. This college was established by Hind Seva Mandal in 1962. The foundation stone was laid by the Prime Minister of India, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. Chief Minister Shri Y. B. Chavan inaugarated this college. At present, Pemraj Sarda College offers Bachelor's courses in Arts. Science and Commerce B.C.A., B.B.A.(C.A.) and Post Graduate courses in Marathi, Political Science, English, Commerce, M.Sc. Chemistry and Zoology.  There are Research Centres in Marathi and Political Science running quite successfully.

Since its inception in 1962, the college has taken strenuous efforts to awaken the students, the students, to make them aware of their aim in life and has motivated them not to halt till their aim is achieved.

  • The college envisages the future of the nation in the enlightenment and empowerment of the youths form the weaker sections of the society. Their progress and development is the ultimate goal of this institution.

  • Quality enhancement and sustenance has been a long cherished objective of this institution. It also aims at developing leadership qualities, inculcate social awareness and instil democratic values in its students.

  • The college is committed to fostering global competencies among the students.

Our Strength 

  • The college has a stated Code of Conduct for every stakeholder. It is displayed on the institutional website.

  • The college adheres to the reservation policies and norms for admission laid down by the state government from time to time.

  • Environmental friendly green practices such as rainwater harvesting, setting up unconventional energy sources, plantation and preservation of trees, minimum use of plastic, LED fixtures, No Vehicle Day etc. are followed on the college campus.

  • The faculty of the college is well-qualified and experienced. 21 out of 27 permanent staff member are Ph.D. holders.

  • Innovative processes have been adopted by and large in teaching and learning. Teachers use e-learning resources for teaching. The college has ICT enabled Multipurpose Hall, Seminar Hall laboratories and classroom.

  • Every department is equipped with a computer and printer supported by internet facility.

  • The NSS and NCC units of the college are actively engaged in outreach Programmes through 350 NSS volunteers and 54 NCC cadets.

  • The college campus has spacious buildings for Arts/Commerce Science streams and a separate Junior Wing.

  • Students have been provide with Common Rooms and toilets as well as drinking water facilities. Special provision has been made for the Divyangjan Students.

  • The administrative office of the college is fully computerized with broadband internet connectivity.

  • The college library is fully computerized. There is separate Reading Room facility for the students.

  • The 'Earn and Learn Scheme ' is implemented effectively.

  • Counselling, career guidance and coaching for competitive examinations is provided to the aspirants. Capacity improvement schemes such as soft skill development, remedial coaching, personality development etc. are integrated with the course curriculum.

  • Student Support Services such as Women's Hostel, Girls Rest Room, Cycle Stand and Parking Area, Playground, Yoga Center, Reading Room, Canteen, Medical Check Up facility , CC TV Surveillance etc. are available in the institution.

  • The sports department of the college has won many accolades at university, state and national levels.
